Together with the manufacturer of packaging for fresh herbs, we conducted a pilot of a compostable film based on potato starch. The material retained the required strength and comfort of use, and the packages gained a new, “green” differentiator on the shelf. Thanks to the test data, the client was able to integrate the project into ESG strategy and brand communication. The next stage is the gradual expansion of the use of biopolymer to subsequent product lines.

We describe the results of testing mulch film and pots made from Helvicon biopolymers. These solutions make growing easier, and after the season they can be directed to the appropriate composting processes. Farms gain the convenience of working, less waste and communication arguments to consumers who are increasingly asking about sustainable practices in agriculture.
